The project Extra-Ordinari will take place over the course of the 2025-26 season at La Virreina – Centre de la Imatge.

1st session

Presentation of the project with a lecture by Jeffrey Swartz on various aspects of the subject, “Things Are the Way They Are for a Reason”, followed by an open discussion on teaching in university arts education.

Presentation by Terra Poirier of her artist book project Non-Regular: Precarious academic labour at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, followed by a participative workshop led by the artist with the aim of exploring how mentorship and mutual aid might sustainably support creative practices.
